What was the purpose of the trip to the Hayward Gallery?

I think the reason we went to the Hayward Gallery was to experience first hand what it is like to go to a space you have never seen before, and interpret your own ideas and movements from just looking and being in the space. As our project is site specific, we are going to be going to places we may never have been before, and we aren’t going to have extremely long to discover how we are going to move around this space and alter the material we have to match the space. I’m really glad we went to the Hayward Gallery as it gave me an idea as to how it feels to perform in a public place, and also how you have to have an open mind when you enter a space and be willing to alter your material quickly and appropriately for wherever you may be.
